Estimated reading time: 1 minutes

ANN ARBOR—Part of East Medical Center Drive, the main ring road around the University of Michigan medical campus, will be closed in both directions from 6 a.m. Monday, May 10 through the evening of Friday, May 14.

The closure will affect a short stretch of roadway near the new Children?s and Women?s Hospital construction project, for water main construction.

All entrances to U-M medical facilities and parking structures will remain open during the entire project. Detour signs and public safety officials will direct drivers to major destinations on the medical campus.

To help traffic flow, Washington Heights will be converted to temporary two-way traffic during the entire period of May 10-14. Buses operated by U-M and the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (AATA) will be re-routed during the closure period. Route and stop changes will be posted on bus stops, on board U-M buses, and on the Web: U-M at http://www.pts.umich.edu/ and AATA at http://www.theride.org/.
