Two schools collaborate to create “snow screen”

Estimated reading time: 1 minutes

Students from the School of Art and Design, and the School of Natural Resources and Environment joined together to create a snow screen on which to project a video concerning global warming. Without snow available on campus, the team scavenged ice shavings from a Zamboni machine at an Ann Arbor rink. Once the initial 6 x 8 x 3 foot wood form was filled with snow, the form was removed revealing the ‘snow screen.’ (Photo by Marcia Ledford, U-M Photo Services)
