The New Yorker humor writer Andy Borowitz dons a wig for a standup comedy routine Oct. 28 in the Vandenberg Room of the Michigan League. Borowitz was appearing at U-M as part of The New Yorker College Tour, which kicked off last week in Ann Arbor. The weeklong series of events featured in-class visits by New Yorker writers, editors and artists; on-campus lectures; readings, signings and discussions; and three evenings of pop culture programming. Net proceeds from the evening events will go to undergraduate scholarship programs at the University. The New Yorker also offered special subscription rates for U-M students. The tour is scheduled to visit the campuses of the University of Texas at Austin and Georgetown University later this month.
