The mixed media piece “The Mind and Imagination” of Abdul Haqq by artist Abdul Haqq is among art works to be displayed Nov. 7-18 in the exhibit, “Are We Free: A Linkage Exhibition of Art,” sponsored by the Prison Creative Arts Project at the Duderstadt Center Gallery at 2281 Bonisteel Blvd. on North Campus. An opening reception will be from 6:30-9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7 with poetry, spoken word, music and theater performances by writers, musicians and actors in the Linkage Project which connects formerly incarcerated creative artists with community arts mentors.
