The campus and Ann Arbor community will have to wait a little longer to see drawings of the North Quad Residential and Academic Project after action on the plan was tabled during the Board of Regents meeting March 17.

Regents were slated to act on designs for the combined residence hall and academic facility, but Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Timothy Slottow said plans for the University’s innovative project that is intended to blur the lines between living and learning were not ready for approval.

“Based on consultation with the president and other project stakeholders, I have decided that we need to do more work on the North Quad schematic design before bringing it to the regents for approval,” Slottow said.

Two meetings for campus and community members scheduled for March 21 and 23 have been postponed as a result of the action.
