The submission deadline is March 9.

Over the past three years, 51 proposals have been submitted, and 18 have been awarded, with participation from 12 schools or colleges across the three U-M campuses.

The Engage Detroit Workshops have been a catalyst for innovation and collaboration.

“Since the start of the grant workshop program, we have observed an increase in the number of engagements with the Detroit community,” said Valeria Bertacco, vice provost for engaged learning.

“Each year, I look forward to hearing about the impactful outcomes and participatory engagements of these workshops, which not only promotes our relationship with Detroit, but expands the portfolio of engaged learning opportunities available to our students.”

The Engage Detroit Workshops grant seeks to promote efforts that enhance collaborations among multiple program initiatives by U-M faculty, staff and students. Proposals should be submitted by a faculty lead organizer affiliated with an academic unit on the Ann Arbor, Dearborn or Flint campus.
