The last line of a story in the Sept. 30 issue was omitted. The final sentence in “Shoe sale benefits Cancer Center” (p. 17) should have read, “With more than 750,000 pairs of shoes sold since the first benefit event in Oct. 1994, the 2002 gala is expected to bring the cumulative net proceeds to more than $12 million.”

In the Sept. 30 issue, Richard Woods is misidentified as chair of civil and environmental engineering (p. 11). Nik Katopodes is the chair.

A Sept. 30 story about a depression documentary (p. 5) should have credited BMC Media and Scott Mann, Phil Rachford and Christie Carr, for creation of the video.

Bob Muglia, senior vice president of Microsoft’s Enterprise Storage Division and a 1981 LS&A graduate, will speak at 9 a.m. Oct. 10 in the Gerald R. Ford Library on North Campus. A briefing item in the Sept. 30 issue (p. 7) gave an incorrect time and year of Muglia’s graduation.
