BAMN rally

Estimated reading time: 1 minutes
More than 300 students from the Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action by Any Means Necessary (BAMN) rally on campus. The event was scheduled to coincide with the University’s filing of a response to a petition to have the U.S. Supreme Court hear two admissions lawsuits against U-M. BAMN wants the high court to hear the cases, but the University doesn’t think it is necessary. The rally Oct. 30 was one in a series of events BAMN organizers are planning to show support for affirmative action. The group also plans a march on Washington, should the case reach the Supreme Court. (Photos by Marcia Ledford, U-M Photo Services)
