North campus shooting leaves one injured
The University of Michigan Department of Public Safety (DPS) is searching for two males who reportedly approached a pedestrian on a North Campus sidewalk early today and fired five shots, hitting him once. The 40-year-old victim was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital to be treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
The shooting reportedly occurred about 1:40 a.m. (June 9) on Hubbard Drive near Cram Circle. The victim fled to a nearby apartment and DPS was called to the scene.
The suspects are described as:
• Suspect 1: Black male around 20 years old, 6 feet, 180 pounds, medium complexion, clean-shaven. He was last seen wearing red hooded sweatshirt, rust-colored running pants and dark running shoes.
• Suspect 2: Black male around 20 years old, 6 feet, 180 pounds, thin build and dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, unknown color of running pants and running shoes.
