VPSI, a commuter provider, began administering the U-M van pool program Oct. 1. Previously Parking and Transportation Services ran the van pool program for University employees. The new partnership eventually will allow the program to expand to non-University employees. U-M will continue to pay for the van pools and provide reserved parking spaces but participants will share the cost of gasoline. Currently 117 U-M employees participate in the van pool program.
