Auxiliary Services: Printing Services, Copy Centers at the Michigan Union, Business School and School of Education, and U-Attic Storage will be closed Dec. 25­-Jan. 2; Mail Services, Optical Imaging and Copy Centers at Printing Services, North Ingalls and the Law School will be closed Dec. 25-Jan. 1.

Building Automations Services: Ventilation in most campus buildings will be reduced during the holidays to conserve energy. People in areas that will be fully staffed Dec. 25-Jan. 4 should contact Building Automations Services with work schedules by Dec. 17 so that full ventilation can be maintained. Animal research and other critical facilities that normally require 24-hour ventilation will not be reduced. Heat will not be turned off in any buildings; reductions pertain only to ventilation. Mail Service: University Mail Service will be closed Dec. 25-26, 29-31 and Jan. 1. The U.S. Postal Service will be open Dec. 26, 29-31, but will not provide service to University buildings unless advance written requests are received at University Mail Service by Dec. 15. Also, University Mail Service must be notified by Dec. 15 if pickup and delivery is not required Dec. 24. Standard permit mail to be processed and mailed by the end of the year must be received at University Mail Service by 5 p.m. Dec. 23. Mail must be at University Mail Service by 1 p.m. Dec. 24 to be postmarked before Dec. 25. For information, call (734) 764-9227.

Occupational Safety and Environmental Health (OSEH): Department closed 4:30 p.m. Dec. 24-7:30 a.m. Jan. 5. OSEH staff will respond to emergencies. Requests for emergency services should be directed to the Department of Public Safety, (734) 763-1131. Hazardous materials staff will conduct radioactive material, chemical waste and pathological waste collections as usual through Dec. 24, but individuals are urged to call early for pickups. Routine pickups will resume Jan. 5. To make special arrangements, call (734) 763-4568 prior to Dec. 13. Laboratories are encouraged to call (734) 763-4568 prior to Dec. 12 to procure appropriate supplies. Approval for radioactive material orders must be obtained prior to Dec. 19. Radiation Safety staff will deliver radioactive materials packages Dec. 26, 29-30 and Jan. 2.

Division of Research Development and Administration (DRDA): Closed midday Dec. 24. Only limited staff will be available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday that week. Other University offices that may need to be involved in proposal processing may be closed or working with reduced staff. Thus, it would be in the best interest of faculty, research staff and others who plan to process materials through DRDA in late December to make arrangements with the appropriate project representative to ensure sufficient time for handling deadline materials. Limited staff will be available starting at 8 a.m. Jan. 2. DRDA will be open for business as usual beginning Jan. 5.

Payroll Office: Closed Dec. 25, 29-Jan. 1. Open 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 24 and Jan. 2; 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 26.

Michigan Administrative Information Services (MAIS): Most MAIS business offices are closed 5 p.m. Dec. 24-8 a.m. Jan. 2. The M-Pathways Financial/Physical Resources, Student Administration and Human Resource Management systems will be available during normal hours of operation. These hours are on the Web at http://www.mais.umich.edu/main/hours.html. The MAIS Help Desk will be closed. To report a suspected M-Pathways system outage or to request a password reset, call (734) 936-7000. Regular office hours resume Jan. 2.

Information Technology Central Services (ITCS): Most ITCS offices will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 24 and reopen Jan. 5, with the following exceptions:

ITCom Repair Services: Will take voice, data or video repair requests at (734) 647-8888. Select either the emergency or non-emergency option, then select voice, video or data and leave a message as instructed.

Operator Services: U-M operators will be available at (734) 764-1817 during the following times: Open 7:45 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 24; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 26, 29-31. Regular hours resume at 7:45 a.m. Jan. 2.
