Honoring MLK

Jan. 19 was a day of learning and teaching at a variety of events honoring the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. At the MLK Day Activities for Children and Youth, U-M education student Amy Friedman works with Austin Merrick and Ewa Granosuc, both 8 years old. She discussed Brown v. Board of Education with the children and had them create pictures related to things they saw or heard that day. The event was sponsored by the School of Education, School of Social Work, Kappa Delta Pi-School of Education, Office of Multicultural Student Affairs-School of Education, Lives of Urban Children and Youth-Michigan Community Scholars Program, and Students of Color at Rackham.
