Don’t Miss Dinner theatre for three, March 3-6
The Friends of the Michigan League will present Noel Coward’s farce “Blithe Spirit” March 3-6. Coward wrote “Blithe Spirit” during the darkest days of World War II, and it went on to become the longest-running comedy in the history of British theatre.

In the witty classic, a remarried widower, Charles, and current wife, Ruth, invite an eccentric medium, Madame Arcati, to host a séance as research for an upcoming novel. Imagine everyone’s surprise when Charles’ elegant and spoiled first wife, Elvira, appears, thus, creating an amusing love triangle.
Charles and Ruth agree that Elvira is one wife too many so the couple, along with Arcati, commences an adventure to entice Elvira to return to the other side.
The play is directed by Nancy Heusel and assisted by Lesli Weston. The cast includes theater veterans Robin Barlow and Rachel Urist, as well as Kyle Marie, Lesli Weston and Stephen Cooper.
Dinner performances begin at 6:30 p.m. March 4-6. Tickets are $50 and include light hors d’oeuvres, salad, entrée with wine and dessert. A special dessert performance will be at 7 p.m. March 3. Tickets are $25, $15 for students. Group rates are available for the dessert performance.
