Author, storyteller and U-M alumnus Ken Thomasma shares the story of a 16-year-old Shoshone Indian girl, Sacajawea, and her role in the Lewis & Clark Expedition to the Pacific Ocean. Thomasma, a nationally known author of children’s books about Native Americans, delivered the lecture “The Truth about Sacajawea” March 8 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Lewis & Clark Expedition.
