Stephen Forrest, vice president for research,(above right) shares with faculty and business leaders his goals for moving U-M forward in the areas of technology transfer and promoting entrepreneurship. Forrest’s office sponsored a reception May 15 at the Biomedical Science Research Building to give faculty who have been involved in new companies or technology licensing—as well as those who may be interested in getting into a new venture—an opportunity to meet other faculty and business leaders. Forrest also used the event as an opportunity to recognize some faculty who already have been successful in launching companies or turning their discoveries into commercial products and services.
