“During Dean Rogers’ tenure, the reach and influence of the School of Art & Design have steadily grown on campus and beyond,” Hanlon wrote. “Starting with the implementation of a new curriculum, Dean Rogers has led the way to establishing a new undergraduate program, dual degree programs, joint faculty appointments, new exhibitions spaces on campus and in Detroit, distinguished visitors programs, international experience for graduate and undergraduate students, and studio facilities for faculty and graduate students. Emphasizing that public engagement is central to the practice of art and design, Dean Rogers has brought fresh energy to all the school’s outreach efforts.”
